Dell-Inspiron-15-7000-Series

The newly designed Inspiron 15R is the most recent 15.6 inches desktop replacement notebook from Dell. Equipped with Intel GMA Hi-def graphics and the Intel i3 or processors, this spending budget system is aimed at the masses. The layout has a design with the screen positioned before the edge of the chassis. This brings the action and has the benefit of moving to the computer keyboard.

The 15R's appearance is stylish, with a brushed metal screen cover. The look provides the appearance of metal, even though with the surface to clean. This look is shared with the palm rest and computer keyboard trim, within the notebook.

Quality is good with a chassis that is strong and durable feeling plastic. With its footprint, then flex is resisted by the chassis and doesn't creak you lift it up. The computer keyboard and palm rest both have the support that is more than sufficient, and don't sag under pressure. The screen cover has protection for the LCD, with just pressure to the back of the panel. The screen doesn't have any problem staying put with two hinges which hold it and get the display.

Users looking to upgrade the Memory within this Dell Inspiron 15R will find this process quite easy.

There's just one access panel on this bottom of this laptop. With a few Phillips head screws removed, you may add or replace into the system memory. Sadly, getting access to the hard disk drive requires a complete disassembly of this laptop chassis. Ports and Features - For a spending budget 15 inches desktop replacement the Inspiron 15R provides plenty of inputs. We counted 3 Universal Serial Bus 2.0 ports, one eSATA\/USB connection, HDMI and VGA out, audio jacks, and Ethernet.

This technology is perfect for enjoying movies without the need to trip over wires draped across a living room.

The Disadvantage is this technology requires a 2-3 second buffer, making it impossible to use for a second monitor where you need to actively control items on the display. Browsing the web is incredibly difficult when the mouse cursor is trailing a couple seconds behind. For watching a movie, it's not an issue since you begin it up and go hands-off. This Intel Wi-Di option adds $100 to this price of this Inspiron 15R.

Our $599 model can't currently be configured together with Wi-Di on the Dell website.
